Cooperationpartner Matters of Activity

The Matters of Activity cluster aims to establish the foundations for a new culture of materials. The central vision of the project is to develop images, spaces, and materials as active constructs of a new symbolic and physical reality, in which nature and culture intertwine in novel ways.

The Bard Graduate Center is a research institute for postgraduate students in New York City. Its MA and PhD programs, gallery exhibitions, research initiatives, and public programs explore new ways of thinking about decorative art, design history, and material culture.
