News from Jul 20, 2017

“Research to Market Challenge” is a competition for research-based product and business ideas from Freie Universität Berlin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and cooperating institutes. Students, graduates, doctoral candidates, and researchers at Freie Universität Berlin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and cooperating research institutes are welcome to submit proposals. The goal is to find the best ideas for utilizing research findings.

In mid-June the nine best projects were selected for prizes: the first prize of 1,500 euros in the Digital category went to the YouniqueAD team, an initiative for improving the efficiency of online advertising. In the Life Sciences & Technologies category, the PoGoN team won first place with their proposal for a novel process for the production of graph networks. For the first time, business ideas were awarded in the Cultural & Social category, where the Double Cover team won with an innovative mathematical process that enables, for example, the transfer of designs by artists to any geometry.
