Kooperationsparter*innen Cluster Scripts

In the Cluster "Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS)," current debates about the liberal order are examined from a historical, global, and comparative perspective. SCRIPTS has therefore developed institutional partnerships with universities in all world regions. At the same time, the initiative focuses on close collaboration with practical institutions in politics and culture in the German capital. From the outset, SCRIPTS sees itself not only as part of a global research network but also as a hub for public discourse on current crisis phenomena in liberal democracy.

As a member of a Berlin university consortium selected as part of the German Excellence Strategy with Freie Universität Berlin as the lead institution, the Hertie School offers a doctoral program that focuses on the challenges of the liberal model of political and economic order (SCRIPTS - "Contestations of the Liberal Script"). The Berlin Graduate School for Global and Transregional Studies (BGTS) is the doctoral program of SCRIPTS.
