Support on the path to professorship

Offers for advanced postdocs

Committee competence - a career-relevant factor for postdocs - in German: Involvement in academic self-administration and participation in internal committees or in external cross-organizational committees of one's own scientific community are examples of the many fields of work of (early career) researchers. The workshop will focus on current, new or future roles and functions in a committee. Participants can reflect on their own understanding and appropriation of this role, for example with regard to the requirements, challenges, scope for action and limits.

On the success and failure of collaborations in science - in German: An extensive cooperation landscape has emerged along the performance dimensions of universities. However, the central strength of cooperation - the diversity of skills, knowledge and perspectives - is also one of its greatest challenges: It makes mutual understanding and thus the achievement of common goals more difficult. The workshop enables participants to learn the basics of successful cooperation management.

Peer Mentoring for Tenure Track professors: The tenure-track peer mentoring program comes into play: it networks professors with each other and enables them to exchange ideas about the tenure-track professorship career path and to support each other in the face of challenges.

ProFiL. Professionalisation of women in research and teaching: Mentoring – training– networking: Through mentoring, science-specific seminars, and strategic networking, the ProFiL program supports participants for one year in the further planning and development of their careers and prepares them for future leadership and management tasks associated with a professorship in the context of current forms of university governance.

Rahel-Hirsch-programme of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin: The Rahel-Hirsch-programme promotes young female scientists on their way to becoming professors.
